Xiaomi Mi6 Set to Launch in April

After the successful launch of Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5s, the next upcoming smartphone is Mi 6. For the past couple of weeks, rumors have been rounding the internet about the Mi 6. The Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, has now confirmed that the smartphone will be launched on April 2017, but still date is not yet announced. As per a post on Weibo, the Xiaomi could make the announcement on either 11 or 18 April.

According to leak news, the upcoming Xiaomi is likely to sport 30MP primary camera and also a dual camera on back. Xiaomi co-founder Li Wanqiang promised a photo sensor that was superior to the Sony IMX378. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 835 with Android 7.0 Nougat. On the bottom, a USB type-C port between two loudspeakers.

The smartphone will support 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage while the premium version will support 6GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage. Certain rumors also claim that the smartphone will come in two different versions, one with 5.15′ display and another with 5.7′ display. Also, it is said to come with curve display similar to that of Galaxy S6 and Mi Note 2 with a ceramic body.

Regarding price, no concrete information is available, but as per rumors the Mi 6 will cost higher than its predecessor with first model expected to cost around $290 while the premium version might have a price tag of $430. The smartphone is rumored to come with a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
